The captain was incredibly knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He put us right on the fish from the start, and we stayed on them for the entire two-hour trip. Constant action, great conversation, and an all-around excellent experience.

Captain Wayne was personable, knowledgeable, and great company on the water. He made sure my eight-year-old son was involved and kept us on fish throughout the trip. We had a fantastic experience and will definitely book with him again the next time we're in Hampton. Highly recommended for both first-time and experienced anglers.

Wayne is a top-notch captain and an even better person. My wife was extremely nervous at the start of the trip and was lying on the bow trying to settle her nerves. Within an hour, thanks to Wayne’s patience and encouragement, she was confidently driving the boat from the upper deck. We had an amazing time and can't thank him enough. Looking forward to our next trip with Wayne!

Very experienced and professional captain with top-quality gear and a well-equipped boat. Despite challenging conditions and a tough bite for drum, he worked hard to locate several schools of fish and gave us every opportunity for success. I highly recommend booking a trip with him.

The captain was excellent from start to finish. Communication during the booking process was clear and timely, and he was both knowledgeable and friendly throughout the trip. He was especially great with my son, who loves fishing, and made sure he had an amazing experience. The boat was spotless, the marina was easy to access, and the entire trip was one we'll never forget. I highly recommend booking a trip with him.

This was my first time out on a boat with my fiancé and a friend, and Wayne and Austin made it an amazing experience. They were friendly, welcoming, and shared great instruction and tips — not just for the style of fishing we were doing, but fishing in general. We’ll definitely be booking with them again. If you want a fun day on the water with knowledgeable people and steady action, this is the crew to go with!

We went on a sunset fishing trip with Captain Wayne, and it was a great experience. He was very knowledgeable and super friendly. We caught plenty of smaller fish to keep the new anglers busy, and we brought home enough for a nice meal. We also saw dolphin and enjoyed a beautiful sunset on the water. I highly recommend this trip for families with young or first-time anglers. Next time, we’ll be booking a half-day or full-day trip to go after bigger fish.

We went on a 2-hour evening charter with our family of four. Captain Wayne and the crew were welcoming, easygoing, and really made sure everyone — especially our kids (12 and 13) — had a great time. We caught a good mix of fish, including croaker, sea bass, and trout. Highly recommend Chasin’ Wake for a fun evening on the water. Thanks again, guys!

This was our first trip to Virginia Beach and our first family fishing trip — and it could not have gone better. The evening was beautiful, the boat was very clean, and the crew was incredibly friendly. Our kids connected with them right away, and they made the whole outing smooth and enjoyable. We visited several fishing spots and they were flexible with what we wanted to do, which we appreciated. We left already talking about coming back — next time we’ll either do the sunset trip again or try the ocean trip. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any option. Highly recommend! Pricing was fair and the experience was well worth it.

Chasing Wake is a top-notch charter. The crew was laid back, friendly, and easy to talk to. It honestly felt like spending the day fishing with an old friend. Wayne was very knowledgeable and always ready to help. Since this was our first time saltwater fishing, he took the time to explain everything and made sure we understood what we were doing.
